Can I share one headset with multiple users?
Yes, if you have one headset in an operatory, it can be shared among all the clinicians who use that operatory.
Can I move my headset to other computers?
Yes, it is possible to do that, but we strongly recommend that each operatory where regular periodontal charting is done have its own headset for maximum efficiency.
What if I have an accent?
The system rapidly adapts to a user’s speaking style, even if they have a strong accent.
What if there’s someone else in the operatory talking loudly. How does VoiceWorks know to listen only to me?
VoiceWorks uses advanced noise-canceling technology along with embedded sensors that allow the system to know when the user is talking, versus some other sound source.
How does VoiceWorks communicate in other languages besides English?
VoiceWorks can call back (output) exam data in 16 different languages. Input languages include English, Spanish, German and French.
Will the software link / bridge with my practice management software?
Yes. VoiceWorks links with over 50 practice management software applications in North America, plus additional applications around the world.
How long does the training take?
Individualized web training takes about one hour per person and then expect to put in two practice charts before you start charting with real patients.
Is all training included in the monthly subscription?
Yes, live web-based training (provided by a Registered Dental Hygienist) is included with your monthly subscription.
What if we hire a new hygienist - can they receive training?
Yes, as long as you have an active subscription or warranty, training for new hires is covered.
Do you have training videos I can watch?
Yes, we have training videos you can watch before your training or anytime after your training.
Do you provide CE credits for the training?
Yes, you can earn a minimum of 1 CE right after you complete your one-on-one training, as long as you have our software and equipment installed in your operatory.
What is the monthly subscription for?
The monthly subscription is for unlimited use of the software per month. It provides a site license for installation on any number of PCs in an office. It allows creation of unlimited patients and unlimited charts. Free software updates are also included, as well as live, one-on-one web-based training and unlimited technical support via Live Chat, email, or phone. Finally, it includes the extended unconditional warranty which covers all hardware.
Is there a contract?
No, there is no contract.
What if I want to cancel or pause the monthly subscription?
No problem. You can pause or cancel at any time without penalty. Just let us know within 5 business days of your next monthly charge. Your office owns the patient data – thus, you can always pull up patient charts and view, print, or email them. However, no new data will be able to be entered into the software. Charting data can be exported for use in other systems.
Is there a warranty?
Yes. All hardware is covered by an unconditional warranty. If the headset ever breaks or is damaged, simply return it for repair or replacement – we even pay shipping.
